Our Commitment to Accessibility

Edifi, LLC (“Edifi,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to providing a website and online experience that is reasonably accessible to all individuals, including individuals with disabilities.

Rather than rely on third-party accessibility overlays, we build accessibility into the Platform itself. This is the approach recommended by the disability community and by accessibility professionals, because overlays cannot fix underlying markup and can interfere with assistive technologies that users have already configured to their needs.

What We’ve Built Into Edifi

We follow web accessibility best practices throughout the Platform, including:

  • Semantic HTML and landmarks. Pages use meaningful headings, lists, navigation, and main-content regions so screen readers and other assistive technologies can announce and navigate structure correctly.
  • Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements are reachable by keyboard. A “Skip to main content” link appears as the first focusable element on every page so keyboard users can bypass repeated navigation.
  • Visible focus indicators. Interactive elements show a clear focus ring when navigated by keyboard.
  • Color contrast. Text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
  • Alt text on images. Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text; decorative images are marked so screen readers can skip them.
  • Respects reduced-motion preferences. Animations such as scroll-driven motion and hover effects are disabled or minimized when your operating system reports a preference for reduced motion.
  • Responsive type and layout. Content reflows at standard browser zoom levels and on mobile, tablet, and desktop screen sizes without horizontal scrolling.
  • Compatibility with assistive technologies. The Platform is built to work with current versions of major screen readers (VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA, TalkBack) and voice-control software.

Using Your Browser and Device Tools

The most reliable accessibility tools are the ones built into your operating system, browser, and assistive technology software, which are tuned to your individual needs. Edifi is designed to work with those tools rather than override them.

Useful starting points:

Native tools available across modern devices include screen readers, voice control, display accommodations, magnification, keyboard assistance, captions, and hearing assistance.

Accessibility Standards and Ongoing Efforts

Edifi is actively working toward providing a digital experience aligned with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (“WCAG”) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (“W3C”).

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continually evaluate and improve the Platform. While we strive to make all pages and content accessible, some areas may not yet fully conform to the latest standards. We are committed to addressing accessibility issues as they are identified.

Third-Party Content

Certain third-party tools, integrations, or linked content made available through the Platform may not be fully controlled by Edifi and may not fully meet accessibility standards.

We encourage users to contact us if they encounter accessibility barriers involving third-party content or functionality.

Feedback and Assistance

We welcome feedback regarding the accessibility of our Platform.

If you experience any difficulty accessing content, features, or functionality on our website, or if you have suggestions for improving accessibility, please contact us:

Policy Updates

Edifi may update this Accessibility Policy periodically to reflect improvements, legal requirements, or changes to our accessibility practices.

Any updates will become effective upon posting the revised policy on the Platform.
